Hey guys! Today were are going to be looking at the new Microsoft Go 2. This device was just released very recently, and we are going to take an in depth look at it today.
The first, and possibly most notable thing about this device is the price. This device starts at only $399.99, which is extremely cheap for a new tablet. It comes with a 10.5” touchscreen, so it is just smaller than an 11” iPad. I don’t think that this is necessarily the worst thing in the world. The 10.5” screen can either be used as a tablet or as a monitor, which makes this device extremely portable.
Microsoft claims that this device has ten hours of battery life, which should be more than enough to get your average user through the day. This is a great cheap alternative to an iPad, which makes it great if your child needs something for school, or you need something for work, or whatever your needs are.
It weighs 1.2 lbs, so it is just a little bit heavier than a new iPad Pro. This also should not make a very large difference. You can also buy a keyboard to go with the Surface Go 2, but that will cost you an extra $150. There are Dolby speakers built into the device to allow the user to have an all around amazing audio experience. This is important if you are going to use it as a secondary display for video editing, or something else where you really need to hear that great audio.
Okay, now let’s get into more of the tech specs of this device. As we mentioned before, it comes with a 10.5” touchscreen that allows you to write and draw with the Surface Pen. Microsoft really made some upgrades to the speed of the device. They claim that it is 64% faster than the original Surface Go. The device comes with built-in WiFi, and you can LTE to that if you want. I recommend that you get LTE on your device if you travel a lot, or find yourself needing to work on the go a lot of the time.
Microsoft is keeping up with competitors by putting a USB-C port in the Surface Go 2. One of the things that really makes this device stand out from a lot of other tablets is the cameras. Both the front and rear facing cameras are HD. But, the camera in the front, the one that you will be taking conference calls on because you can’t leave your house, it located in the top middle. On the iPad, It is on the left, so you have to position it kind of awkwardly to get yourself in the middle of the screen, and it looks like you are not looking at the camera if you are looking at the middle of your screen. The Surface Go 2 fixes this problem, which is very nice.
It is also very thin at only 0.33” thick. I hope that we covered everything that you guys wanted in this article. Leave a comment or contact us if you want any more information that we did not include. We look forward to your feedback. You can get the Surface Go 2 at microsoft.com.
Have a good one,
