Will you watch Superbowl Online?
The question has changed over the years from “Will you watch the Superbowl?” to “Will you watch the Superbowl online or watch the Superbowl live?”. It’s certainly an interesting trend that has developed over the years, with the most hyped event of the year having even more avenues to draw in potential fans.
Watch Superbowl online or live?
Back in the day, it was hard to get non football fans interested in the big game. But as years passed, and technology became more prevalent, the ability to spread hype at immense speeds was made much easier.
These days, with social media tools such as Facebook and Twitter taking over our lives, it will be impossible avoid coverage of the 2011 Super Bowl. So whether you like it or not, you will know be aware that it’s the Green Bay Packers vs Pittsburgh Steelers taking part in Sunday’s game, you will know the Super Bowl 2011 kickoff time, you will know which Super Bowl commercials will be airing and you will even be aware of such useless things as Super Bowl recipes….something that has taken a life of its own in recent years as we all look to turn the Super Bowl into yet another holiday by which we ‘theme’ our lives.
This year, one of the biggest trends will be fans choosing to watch Super Bowl 2011 online – with smartphones and tablet devices becoming a common household item. Super Bowl ads this year specifically have been infused with a social media aspect, with companies very aware that fans will have an extra set of technological devices near them when they watch Super Bowl live today.
The NFL has been promoting its Game Pass service for a while – but it certainly seems to have garnered a following and millions of fans will be able to watch Super Bowl online through their computers, iPads, or even smartphones with a subscription service.
So, that age old question of “will you watch the Superbowl?” is now just a part of history. The question now is, “will you watch Super Bowl 2011 online on iPad, iPhone, computer or just watch it on TV?”.
That is a sign of the evolution of technology, and the impact it can have on one of the biggest events of the year.

if I cant watch it online I wont watch it at all.
I wanted to watch. I was willing to pay to watch a stream that also included advertising.
No luck.
I wanted to listen to it on Internet Radio.
Again, no luck. No streams were working. Probably too jammed up.
So I tried to follow it on twitter. Constant chatter about everything except the game.
Turns out the Internet totally BLOWS when it comes to following the game in real time.
