Verizon Communications Inc. (NYSE:VZ)

Verizon Communications (NYSE:VZ) has introduced a new superfast internet for home users.
It is the fastest internet connection from Verizon Communications (NYSE:VZ), and it is about 50 times faster than a typical DSL line, and is more than two times faster from the previous top tier of 50 Mbps per second. The latest announcement is of a 100 Mbps broadband experience.
It should also be noted that this broadband service comes with a competitive price of $195 a month.
A Verizon Communications (NYSE:VZ) spokesman said that the company has begun to roll out the ultra-fast service to the 12.5 million homes where its FiOS fiber-optic network passes. However, to get the $195-a-month price, users will need to sign a one year contract as well as pay for Verizon’s voice service.
Intel Corp. (NASDAQ:INTC)

Intel (NASDAQ:INTC) has said it will develop programmable imbedded versions of its Atom processor.
The chip making giants have planned to combine their Intel (NASDAQ:INTC) Atom processor with Altera’s field-programmable integrated circuits to produce chips, which can be customized by their clients to suite their requirements. The combined produced chip will be known as E600C series and it can be used in medical equipment and other embedded applications.
Intel (NASDAQ:INTC) Marketing Director Jonathan Luse said, “This is a breakthrough for us as far as being able to have one of our customers be able to develop and program their own specific (intellectual property) in the silicon itself.”
Dell (NASDAQ:DELL)

Dell (NASDAQ:DELL) has signed a 5-year deal to provide support services to The Carlyle Group.
Under the deal, The Carlyle Group will provide hosting and support for management applications like PeopleSoft and Hyperion. The deal will also support The Carlyle Group to maximize the benefits and value of PeopleSoft and Hyperion solutions, including business process solutions, applications services and strategy consulting.
Peter Altabef, president, Dell (NASDAQ:DELL) Services said, “we look forward to supporting The Carlyle Group with high performance, productivity-enhancing application services that help increase operational efficiencies, drive revenue and cultivate business growth.”
