According to reports from Canesta, the leader in 3D sensing technology, the company is being acquired by Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT). The acquisition is expected to boost the software giant’s attempt to grab market share in upcoming technologies, for the latest acquisition would let its users control the computer using their mind, instead of mouse.

Although no details regarding the deal have been announced in public, analysts predict that the acquisition would help Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT) market the many patented technologies of Canesta.

Intel Corp. (NASDAQ:INTC)

A report has said that Intel (NASDAQ:INTC), Samsung and Toshiba has entered a joint development agreement to reduce their chip size.

The companies have planned to form a consortium of 10 companies that make products in the semiconductor or related industries. Intel (NASDAQ:INTC), world’s largest semiconductor chipmaker has decided to develop a 10nm process to make flash memory.

The Nikkei Daily reported that, all three companies are likely to use the smaller lithography to make higher-density NAND flash chips where Intel (NASDAQ:INTC) will likely use it to develop faster microprocessors.

Two senior executives from Google Inc. (NASDAQ:GOOG) have stepped down.

The search engine giant, in a statement, has said that two of its Chief Executives have stepped down from the company. The Chief Executive of YouTube and the head of AdMob, the mobile advertising business, are the executives leaving the company.

According to the report, Omar Hamoui, the head of AdMob is leaving the company for some personal reasons. The announcement of Chad Hurley, the co-founder of YouTube, came a few hours before the departure of the AdMob head.
