Several more tech stocks could see some changes today. The following listed companies should see some movement: Microsoft Corp. (NASDAQ:MSFT), IBM (NYSE:IBM), Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL).
Here is a more detailed look at stories affecting the firms’ stock prices.
Microsoft Corp. (NASDAQ:MSFT)

Although the company admits the significance of HTML5, it said that the rich web technology that Silverlight brings is extending the Web more than HTML5.
“On the Web, the purpose of Silverlight has never been to replace HTML; it’s to do the things that HTML (and other technologies) couldn’t in a way that was easy for developers to tap into. Microsoft remains committed to using Silverlight to extend the Web by enabling scenarios that HTML doesn’t cover. From simple ‘islands of richness’ in HTML pages to full desktop-like applications in the browser and beyond, Silverlight enables applications that deliver the kinds of rich experiences users want,” said Becker, Project Management Director and Developer of Microsoft platforms.
IBM (NYSE:IBM)

The debate continues; with different dimensions and interpretations to the speed of microprocessors, and the latest claim comes from International Business Machines, that they have made the world’s fastest processor, with a speed of 5.2 GHz.
It was also reported that many other chips with over-clocked cooling systems are able to process at this speed, but these enterprise chips come without any need to encase your computer in ice-packs. IBM (NYSE:IBM)’s 45 nanometer technology was used to manufacture this Quad core slab.
The support of over 1.4 billion transistors gives it the power to handle more than 50 billion instructions per second.
Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL)

Although Ping, the music centric social network, is not available in many countries, including India, where there is a huge population of ‘social beings’, the newest venture from the Mac maker has exploded in the tech world.
The social network from Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) lets users follow their favorite artists while following other users.
It’s not all sweetness and light in the Apple kingdom, however, as the support forum of Ping is filled with complaints regarding the lack of availability of the network in many countries.
There will probably be more movement as the markets continue for Microsoft Corp. (NASDAQ:MSFT), IBM (NYSE:IBM) and Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL).
