Taking the bidding war with Dell to the next level, Hewlett-Packard (NYSE:HPQ) has made a bid which is nearly double their initial figure – $2 Billion – in an attempt to acquire 3Par Inc.
Dell’s latest bid of $27 per share has been outbid with this $30 per share offer.
The latest offer from Hewlett-Packard (NYSE:HPQ) is 10 times the revenue 3Par Inc is generating.
Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL)

Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) will be disappointed to see that it has maintained its number one position – in IBM’s security vulnerability report.
According to the report, and in a repeat of the 2009 results, Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) was the vendor which had the most security vulnerabilities. The report has also had Linux as the operating system with the most security issues.
It has been believed that Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL)’s MAC and Linux were the most secure platforms to work with, but with this latest report, some have started to have second thoughts.
Microsoft Corp. (NASDAQ:MSFT)

The Supreme Court has been asked to settle the patent suit which is ongoing between Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT) and I4i.
A report has said that there is no guarantee that Supreme Court will hear Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT)’s patent issue with the Toronto Technology firm.
The patent suit is regarding software for incorporating user-data templates into different word-processing programs including Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT)’s market-leading Word.
Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT) spokesman Kevin Kutz said that denial “departs not only from Supreme Court precedent, but from the rulings of all the other appellate courts, and we are asking the Supreme Court to resolve this conflict.”
