Google Inc. (NASDAQ:GOOG) has denied reports regarding Facial-Recognition application.
The search engine giant denied news saying that it is developing a facial-recognition application, as had been reported by CNN.
The company has noted that it is on the way to developing similar technology to its Google Goggles app, however they are holding off until any concerns over privacy issues have been addressed.
In an official statement, Google Inc. (NASDAQ:GOOG) said “As we’ve said for more than a year, we will not add facial recognition to Goggles unless we have strong privacy protections in place”.
Nokia Corp. (NYSE:NOK)

Nokia Corp. (NYSE:NOK) has completed the transfer of Symbian Source Code.
Nokia Corp. (NYSE:NOK) has announced that it is all but finished with the transfer of the open-source Symbian platform source code to the community.
Nokia Corp. (NYSE:NOK) is making the latest version of the Symbian platform source code available to its platform development partners.
In October 2010, Nokia Corp. (NYSE:NOK) decided to focus on Qt as the sole application development framework for the Symbian and MeeGo platforms. Nokia Corp. (NYSE:NOK) has also announced its intent to support HTML5 for development of Web content and applications for both Symbian and MeeGo platforms.

A recent report has said that Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL)’s global marketing VP has decided to leave the company.
According to a report that appeared in All Things Digital, Allison Johnson, the vice president of global marketing at Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL), has decided to leave the company.
It was reported that the exiting VP will soon be founding a company with a former Facebook executive.
Allison Johnson, who reported to the CEO Steve Jobs, had contributed much to the recent explosive growth of Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) products.
