Tech Stock Update: Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL), Microsoft Corp. (NASDAQ:MSFT), Cisco Systems Inc. (NASDAQ:CSCO)
Several more tech stocks could see some changes today. The following stocks should see some movement: Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL), Microsoft Corp. (NASDAQ:MSFT), Cisco Systems Inc. (NASDAQ:CSCO).
Here is a more detailed look at stories affecting the firms’ stock prices.
Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL)

Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL)’s iPad sales seem to be moving in the right direction, if a UBS research note is to be believed. According to the newest research note from the UBS Investment Research, the sales of lower end PCs may be affected, but the Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) iPad sales could come in around 28 million next year.
Maynard Um, UBS Investment Research analyst, wrote in that note that “Sales of traditional notebooks appear to be feeling pressure from the iPad, causing a scramble by vendors to launch iPad-like tablets.”
Microsoft Corp. (NASDAQ:MSFT)

Microsoft Corp. (NASDAQ:MSFT) said it hopes its hands-free Kinect system will help the Xbox 360 contend in Japan. Here in the U.S., Microsoft Corp.’s (NASDAQ:MSFT) Xbox 360 sales are trailing far behind the Sony PlayStation 3 console and the Nintendo Wii.
But the company says it hopes its new Kinect motion-capture system will help the Xbox outmanoeuvre Sony and Nintendo in Japan as it starts selling the Xbox there.
Cisco Systems Inc. (NASDAQ:CSCO)

Cisco Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ:CSCO) recently announced that it will acquire private wireless networking company Arch Rock Corp., which specializes in manufacturing network equipment for smart grids.
Cisco did not give a price it was willing to pay for the company.
Cisco Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ:CSCO) is acquiring Arch Rock to help it beef up its IP-based, complete smart grid solutions.
We may see more movement as the stock markets continue for Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL), Microsoft Corp. (NASDAQ:MSFT) and Cisco Systems Inc. (NASDAQ:CSCO).
